Newyork Nightclubs

I will be in New York on a Saturday, Sunday and Monday night, I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good bars/nightclubs to go to?

I don't live in NY, so I won't recommend a place directly. However, I find that all of the top places advertise for New Years starating about 9 months in advance, so go look for New Years spots for 2010 and you'll find a complete list of top nightclubs.

I am not that familiar with bars/nightclubs but you can get much information from Time Out New York Magazine.

If you like comedy clubs, The Comedy Cellar in Greenwich Village is outstanding. Near there is Gene's Italian restaurant if you want good Italian food in a great environment.

Hello, you're going to want to go to the meat-packing district... all the bars/clubs are there pretty much. I went to NY last year for my first time, had great nights in a place called Home (i think), there was also another place called Bed (i think), but what you'll find is that most clubs are fairly close to each other.

I have to say I thought the clubs in New York were quite poor. Maybe i didnt look hard enough but i found to my horror that they have opened up Paca there when i was on the plane home to London. Thats a club that ive been to in London and its good. Im guessing the new york one is good too.
