Weve only got about 10 days , so would love some suggestions on what to do , the ski thing sounds good but not more than 2 or 3 days , would love to do something different and experience the locals , mabey france , italy or prague
Welcome to TP darren!!
Good to start planning now. Check out the Europe Forum for any number of ideas on what to do. As we say here in America, Europe is a big country (just kidding Europe, you know we love you!!!) and there's so much to do - it all depends on your wants and needs (hiking, biking, shopping, sightseeing, touring, etc.). Go through the posted threads in the Europe Forum and you'll find the info you need.
Me, I've always wanted to take a river barge through France. You can even rent your own river boat at a pretty good price.
If you want to grab as much 'winter' as possible - coming from SA and all that - have you ever driven in snow? It's a bit off the wall I know - and don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to kill you. Could even be safer than skiing? Perhaps somewhere quiet outside of a city, maybe in Eastern Europe? Just a simple experience that every European takes for granted. It's just a thought.
