Hi there,

I am planning to go to Greece in a few weeks - I will be in Italy so I can catch a ferry from Brindisi to Corfu, but from there on in I'm not too sure! I have 2 1/2 weeks and want to spend time in Athens, Crete and Santorini! Problem is I know they are nowhere near each other so I would appreciate advice on how to best travel there (which route to take). I need to be in Athens at the end of the leg as I fly out from the airport there. Otherwise I am fully flexible with dates.

Any advice would be really appreciated!

Thanks :)

A good option would be to get a flight with Wizzair from Rome to Sofia then a train from Sofia to several Greece mainland destinations. From Athens you can get a boat to any Greek island you want. Corfu is quite restricted as to ferries compared to Rhodes, Crete, Kos, and Athens. There are ferries to and from Corfu but the service isnt so good as from many others.
Wizzair flights from Rome to Sofia start as low as €30 one way including fees.
The train from Sofia to the Greece border takes about 5 hours if you get a good one.

Thanks for your reply BedouinLeo :)

But I will already be in Brindisi, so I need to know where to go to from there? I believe the ferry goes to Corfu and then am not sure?
