Hi,

I've read that without a visa, nzers can stay for 90 days in the schenegen zone, tho I also read that it was 90 days per country and was wondering which is true. I have heard of people flying out of the schenegen zone to say the UK at the end of 90 days and then flying back in after a few days and then you can stay for 90 more days-is this a valid option? Also if you have a working holiday visa for a country, arrive and apply for the permit to stay but this process doesn't get completed, is the visa still valid?
If anyone can help at all, it would be greatly appreciated!

90 days in a 180 period for all of Schengen. Not per country.

No. Again, it is 90 days in a 180 period for all of Schengen. If you want the 90 days again you have to stay away from the Schengen Area for 91 days.

Also if you have a working holiday visa for a country, arrive and apply for the permit to stay but this process doesn't get completed, is the visa still valid?

No. The WHV usually only allows you entry to settle, but you need to complete the process to get a residency permit. Without a residency permit you are only alllowed to stay the normal 90 days in a 180 period in all of Schengen Area.
