... is a book, not an Ipod, mobile or laptop.

same here. especially a novel which takes place in my travelling point. for example I ll read a book in English and takes place in NY when I fly there.

Well i believe the best book when i travel is the real residential life .Not a novel based on true story but the truth in real

Don't you think you can also miss a lot by having your ipod on? I personally love to hear the conversations going on in buses etc., even if I can't understand them, plus I like to enjoy the noise of life in another culture or country going on around me. I also feel that donning a pair of headphones is almost shutting yourself off, a sort of 'don't speak to me, I would rather listen to my music'. Having said that, I always take one with me because there are times when other peoples conversations can become irritating, or for drowning out noise when I am trying to sleep.

I don't usually travel alone and, whilst I love my travel partner dearly, I find that shutting myself off from her for a couple of hours on a journey means we don't get annoyed with each other later on down the line. She does exactly the same too. We both need time to ourselves now and again and this is the perfect time to have it. If i was on my own I have this uncanny habit of attracting the weirdos who want to chat for the entire journey and I find putting my headphones on - even without music playing - at the start of the journey deters them!

Couldn't agree more about the corkscrew though!

Book is a good one. You can read on fly, bus ...But I think camera is the most important thing. Right?
