Going Alone, Who Else is Doing it!?

Hi all,

I am heading to Australia, Sydney on August 19th. I'm looking to travel the east coast, ending up in and around the area of Cairns, where I would preferably stay for about 2 weeks to hit some sunshine! (Departing from Sydney late September.)

Will anyone be in Sydney around 19th-23rd August??? I'm a tad nervous about being there alone. If anyone else is in the same position, I would be more than happy to meet!! Send me a private message or reply here and I can add you on Facebook or something!

Also guys, I am currently looking to buy a decent hiking rucksack for my travels. I am looking at a 65L Regatta Endure Survivor rucksack, £35 on ebay - bargain or not!??

im travelling alone too , well will be with family for 3 months in perth..then i go to sydney around january 10 and brave it all on me lonesome haha!

i cant wait to meet loads of new ppl and have the time of my life!! sooo scared but its exciting x

Sounds cool, i only have 8 days until i leave now cannot wait! As far as preparation goes, all I have done is booked a hostel in Sydney for a few nights. I'm planning on being completely flexible depending on what others do!

Even better, anyone flew with them to Sydney, via Incheon airport, South Korea. I found a bargain price which is great, but at the same time I'm a little nervous at possibility of sacrificing quality!

JoanneC84 i was in Perth visiting my family last Christmas and it was amazing you will have a boss time! I'm going down the east coast next year and also back to Thailand. I should be in Aus middle of Feb (flying to Sydney and working my way up to Cairns) - it'll be good to meet up if you're there the same time. My plans have been up and down but i'm finally settled on leaving late Jan now.

I noticed you're from Liverpool too - i live on the Wirral!

I would like to rent a car and travel on the East Coast, surfer's parardise, Great Ocean Road...I'm looking for someone who will like to make it with me for few days, may be we can travel some days together??!
