Has anyone ever volunteered here? I am heading out in October for about a year. I know they are in need of veterinary/medical supplies but as space in my luggage is at a premium I would like to know what they really desperately need and cannot be bought easily in Bolivia. I have emailed but these are answered by volunteers in UK and as the place is so remote there is no other point of contact.

If anyone else is headed that way around that time I would love to hear from you too, and anyone who may be interested in low cost volunteering with wildlife (around US$10 per day) with a really good organisation backed by Jane Goodall, then take a look at their website. It sounds like a really awesome experience and I have not read or heard a bad word about the place.

I don't have an answer for you but wanted to mention that I'm thinking about volunteering there as well - at Parque Ambue Ari most likely. If I do I'll be there in November - perhaps I'll see you there! PM me if you'd like to chat about it...
