We have been to Maine a few times including Acadia National Park, Ogunquit, Portland, Kennebunkport, and Kittery.

We are thinking of another trip in a few weeks. It would include the balloon festival in Lewiston/Auburn. We are also thinking of going to Grafton Notch State Park and Bethel.

We like nice scenery, easy hiking, theater, and historic districts.

Can you please offer suggestions on additional activities, restaurants etc. so we can have an active
4-5 night trip in this region of Maine.

Thank you.

North Conway is a good place to stop if you like shopping and browsing around outlet malls and souvenir shops,in the middle of town is a large railway station with a well equiped rail museum behind, there are also rail trips of varying lengths on vintage rail cars..

I did a stint working as an intern at Point Sebago Resort in Casco, ME about 10 years ago. Nice resort.

What I especially liked was that you could take tours on Sebago Lake from this resort, they rented out canoes and boats. I have very fond memories of a day tour by canoe up to the Songo Lock.
