Hows about you present the tickets on her birthday and tell her you are taking her shopping on the sunday, that way she can choose all her own stuff and that will be even more exciting for her???!!!

Oooh...just a thought...is your girlfriend up to date all all her vaccinations????

Ouch!

I am afraid Romeo, you will just have to come clean and tell her .....now! She will still be thrilled I am sure and her birthday will be extended by way of preparation.

Planning a suprise trip for someone can often be a nightmare, I sent my sister and her husband just to Paris for a couple of days for Christmas...never again!!!!!

Hows about you tell her you are taking her shopping, go to an outdoor centre thingy type place and ask her to choose a backpack...cos you will need it for Thailand!!

dont worry about not being able to surprice your girlfriend last minute about the trip. The fact you have organised such a surprise is ace and any girl would be chuffed to bits, I know if my husband did that I would be over the moon. Giving her some time to organise herself though is best, us girls (atleast most of us!) like plenty of time to plan for our hols so a couple of weeks notice before her actually birthday shouldnt spoil things. Hope you both have an amazing time. Where you heading when you get out there? My husband and I are planning a month next Feb in Thailand...cant wait:)

out of interest have you are already booked flights? We will be flying from Scotland, which I guess you will be 2, and looking at the moment for going out end of Jan prices seem high £600 plus on average. would be interested to hear if you got a good deal and who from!?
