Germany to Romania & Lyon to Stuttgart

Has anyone ever been from Germany to Romania?

If so, how did you take your journey?

Any travel tips you may bestow?

ALSO. I'm looking at flying from Lyon to Stuttgart. Would anyone else recommend any other options?

Yes I have done Germany to Romania. There is an airline called German Wings that go from Berlin Schonefeld to Bucharest Baneasa. Baneasa is the smaller of Bucharests two international airports and still very convenient for the city. If Berlin is no good for you then have a look at some of the internal German Wings flights that may get you from wherever you are to Berlin for what has to be the mother of all cheap fares from Germany to another EU country. You will find the fare for under €50 one way and the flight will be no more than around 2 hours. Germany does tend to be generally a quite expensive country to get short and mid haul flights from but this airline seems to break with tradition. They have their own website and whenever Ive travelled with them theyve been very efficient and pretty much always on time.

I am from Romania, and I would recommend you to take low cost fares(like wizz or blueair). they are very cheap.
However it depends what part of the country are you planning on visiting.

Lyon to Stuttgart is doable by train. There is a train twice daily direct to Strasbourg from Lyon. From Strasbourg it is then easy to get to Stuttgart on the cheap using Baden-Wuerttemberg-Ticket. Baden-Würtemberg-Ticket is valid from Kehl Bhf, the first stop behind the French border.

www.bahn.de or www.voyages-sncf.com should also have also special offers if you book in advance.

Failing any special offers I would buy Lyon-Strasbourg in Lyon, Strasbourg-Appenweiler or Strasbourg-Kehl Bhf in Strasbourg and the Baden-Württemberg-Ticket in either Kehl or Appenweiler.
