1 night in Phuket...Where to stay??

Hey

We are spending one night in Phuket before heading out to one of the Islands and need advice on a place to stay for one night in Phuket... preferably in a place where boats leave to the near by islands. Has anyone stayed anywhere nice... budget is about £50 for the night.

im sorry i dont know the name of the place i stayed, but it was in Patong, down the road from the beach, which is excellent for a night out, i would want more than one night there though. there are tons of places to stay there it wouldnt take long to find one for a lot less than £50.

id personal give phuket a miss and head for krabi or more to the point ao nang, u can get the ferrys from here to lanta and to phi phi, also with a budget of £50 im sure u like ur comferts and there are a load of hotels in that rage there,i stayd at jinnis place which was about £40 a night and worth every penny.if u need anymore info email me my friend stays in ao nang she would be happy to advice u on a good place to stay.

Thanks for your posts, we arrive into Phuket quite late so just want to stay there for one night then we will get a boat to another island the next day. I was just wondering if anyone had stayed in a really nice hotel anywhere on Phuket?
