Hot Air Balloon Ride in Africa

Hi, I'm heading to Africa for 9 weeks later in the year and have an opportunity to do a hot air balloon ride over either the Serengeti National Park or the Namib Desert. I can't decide which one to book and wonder if anyone out there has done either of them or both and what you'd recommend please?

well, I might not have done either of done, but I have been to both places and personally I would certainly go for the Serengeti.
The main reason? you can view over the Namib desert from the top of the high dunes, while looking down on the Serengeti is impossible from the ground! Also viewing the animals (herds of wildebeast from example) must look totally different.

I wanted to do one in both, and couldn't afford it! Serengeti during the wilderbeest migration would be amazing, but if you go during the rainy season, or just after the rains, I might opt for the Namib- simply because the animals are harder to spot through the leafy trees and tall grass during that period. Just a thought! The view is still surely better from above than from the ground.

However, I'm sure that either way, you won't be disappointed!

I was leaning a bit towards the Serengeti alright, but unfortunately I'll be missing the Wildebeest migration as I'm not going till October.

Wait..! Even a better thought- do the hot-air balloon ride over the Serengeti, and a skydive over the Namib! You get about a 25-minute scenic flight as the plane gains altitude and a breathtaking scenery over the dunes!

So so jealous!

Hi. I did a balloon over the Atlas Mountains and another out from the Pyramids to the Sahara. The Sahara was just sand, the odd oasis and very little else. The Atlas Mountains trip was wildlife, waterfalls, lakes, rivers and so much more. I would do a park rather than desert any day.

You can also do it over the masai mara which has very beautiful scenery and a lot of wildlife.

I really like to go to Africa and it is one of the country I would like to visit.
Especially the Safari, so what is this Hot Air Balloon Ride in Africa?
Will it travel across the Safari Wildlife Park?
