Hey,
I´m coming to New Zealand on a WHV in January 2010. Now i´m searching for a travel insurance, and this isn´t that easy.
As my country of residence is Spain, i´m not able to apply for these ´cheaper´ UK insurances mentioned on this forum. It seems to be that the same insurances here in Spain are much more expensive. For example: Nomads UK: GBP200, Nomads Spain EUR1000
Anyone who know where to find a better deal?
Cheers,
Mich

Hi there,

I chose a french insurance when I went to Australia for a year : http://forum.pvtistes.net/assurances/8971-reduction-10-globe-partner-pour-nos-membres.html

You click on the banner and you'll be on the insurance website, which is available in english too.

It costs 396 euros for a year.

Hope it helps ;)

It might pay to check home/household insurance in your home country. They often include substantial cover abroad for personal possessions, legal fees, etc.

edit: I pay £75 a year 'house contents' insurance which covers my possession (cameras, etc) up to £10000 year round in Europe and up to 30 days worldwide - which I can extend for a small fee.
