I feel kinda stupid asking this, but right now I am just too tired to figure this out:

x+y+z=160 cm

x*y*z -> max ???

Baggage rules:

"When adding length, width and depth the total may not exceed 160 cm"

How much is this maximal in volume, liters or cubic inches? What would be the ideal size for a bag if you wanted to carry as much as possible? 50 cm x 50 cm x 60 cm = 150 liters?

yes it makes 0,15m3 and around 150 liters right . But 50x60x60 seems like a kind of cubical prisim ( non perfect) box and usually (as you know better than me) there are not so many luggages in that shape.
