Trying to find a double room to stay in Shanghai and Hong Kong for a few nights while travelling china with my partner.
Just wanted to know what the best location would be to stay in both of these big cities?
Any help would be great
Thanks

When in Hong Kong I always like to stay on Hong Kong Island itself although it is a little more expensive. I usually stay in Causeway Bay (L'Hotel). There is a nice, small and cheap hotel (Bishops Gate) on the mid-levels. You can stay on the kowloon side but then your time on HK Island is controlled by the last MTR (unless you want to pay a fortune for a cab). Either way, I prefer HK island (and Causewaybay, next to Victoria Park). Paul |

Has anyone ever stayed in a YHA, hostel in hong kong??? I know it has this weird rule of checking out everyday. I just not interested in doing Chungking or Mirador, I'd rather sleep at Mc.donalds with my eyes wide shut. I know there is one YHA hostel that is near the sea, with a beach. I have been to HK three times and I have yet to see places other than Kowloon and HK island. [ Edit: Edited on 27-Sep-2009, at 09:40 by Swept Away ] |
