Kuala Lumpur

Okey, it looks like I have to spend 24 hours in Kuala Lumpur due to my flight schedule, but when I'm there I might as well spend a couple of days there.
Does any one know of a good cheap hostel (with easy directions from the LCCT, yes I'm not good with directions and I'm going backpacking, great combo) ?
And whats the sights in Kuala Lumpur, what is interesting to see and do? Is there anyone here from Kuala Lumpur that knows about any nice places and things to do that not every tourist knows about?
I'm trying to and see some other things than just the major touristsights (but of course I want to see some of those too..)

I was in the same situation as you I fly to KL on the 1st Sept staying in KL for a week as my flights overlaped and didnt want to spend 10 hours in a airport so I went on Hostelbookers and booker a a week at Backpacker Travellers Inn. I fly bto Melbourne on the 8th Sept

For directions this is what somebody on travelbuddy sent me

Hi Craig,

I assume that u will arrive at LCCT Airport (Air Asia) instead of KLIA.

1. Take a Skybus to KL (RM9 per person per way). No need to buy a ticket first because u can buy them before u board the bus. The bus is located between the domestic arrival and the food station. The journey will take u about 1 hour.

2. The bus will drop u off outside KL Sentral Station. The easy way to get to your hotel (Jalan Sultan) is to take the Putra LRT from KL Sentral Station to Pasar Seni Station (only 1 stop away, will cost you about RM1 per person per way). Once u arrive at the KL Sentral Station, take the escalator, go inside, the Putra LRT station would be on your left side. Once u arrive at the Pasar Seni Station, Jalan Sultan is just across the street (next to Maybank Bank)
