Travelling Jordan during Eid al-Fitr, suggestions and advice

Hello,

On the 19th of September I am going to Jordan.

The 20th or 21st of Septembre Eid al-Fitr starts. Does anybody know which date it will be? I find both dates on the internet.

We are on the start of Eid Al Fitr in Amman and we would love celebrate it with the Jordanese people, if possible.
Does anybody have advice, suggestions? That would be great.

The second day we want to go to the desert castles and Jerash. Does anybody know if these archeological sites are open during Eid al-fitr?

Dear Dominique - and other readers to this mail,

Like you, I shall also be travelling to Jordan - but will be there from 7th September for 3 days and off to Saudi Arabia before returning to Jordan and stay for some weeks.

I also could not confirm the exact date of Eidul Fitr but the official holiday appears to be 20 to 23 September.

May I take this opportunity to ask viewers/readers 2 questiona please about Jordan?:
1) Where can I find a reasonable, clean budget hotel in Amman/
2) Which travel agency offers best fares/rates to travel Amman-Saudi Arabia via air and land please?
