I'm planning my RTW trip, and I'm just looking in to durable clothing to bring. The coldest places we'll be visiting are Oz/NZ in the end of summer/early winter (April-June). I'm from Canada- so I can deal with the cold down to -35 C. : ) , so I don't think their winters will be a huge problem for me.

I'm wondering if anyone has any comments on my choice of pant, I was planning on wearing yoga type pants/crops. They are comfy, don't scream 'TOURIST!', and breathable. A lot of the pants I see at oudoors/expedition stores aren't my style . ;)

Has anyone else backpacked in yoga gear- does Lululemon clothing last?

Here's an example of what I had in mind:

and

We are planning on doing lots of treks.

Any opinions are helpful!

Thanks : )

Get the expedition style clothing then.

Nothing against your yoga gear, but I doubt it is made to dry fast, retain body warmth even when wet, be extra durable and have a rip-proof weave.

Make sure they are easy to be cleaned by hand. You might not always find cheap laundry.
