Berlin!!!

Heya

Me and my boyfriend are planning to go to Berlin around Christmas time (after a couple of days in Paris and Amsterdam). We would ideally like to be either in or around the Berlin/Dresden area at Christmas and New Year, but would have to be there by the latest 23rd. This would mean over a week in and around the area. Would this be too long?? I don't know how much there would be to do around the festive season and would it be better to go somewhere else for New Years???

If you are going anywhere for New Year in Germany go to Berlin. All of Berlin is One big fat New Year party.

You most definitely won't be bored with one week in Berlin, usually - at Christmas time things might be a bit slower though.

I would recommend going down to Dresden on the 23rd and 24th for the famous Dresden Christmas market and then head up to Berlin again. As big as Berlin is there will definitely be something to occupy your time.
