I have just got back from Cambodia, it was fantastic, only went to Siem Reap as we were travelling in Malaysia. I would definately go to Cambodia again.
Dont forget when you enter the country you have to pay $20 for a visa and $25 departure tax, it is $40 for a temple pass for three days, about $15 for a tuk tuk daily and about $20 for a guide.
Everything else is very cheap, food, beer etc.
I went to Vietnam last year we started in Hanoi and went to Halong Bay, Hue, hoi An, Nha Trang, Mui Nie, HCMC, just worked our way down the country.
If you dont have much free time i will recommend you this trip, from KL you fly to Saigon visit some museums, take a tour to Cu CHi Tunnel (shouldn't miss it) and then take a tour 1 0r 2 day in mekong delta before you go SR PP by boat. ANd spend 2 or3 days in Angor.. And fly t AUS
I had the chance to visit Malaysia two years ago. Kuala Lumpur and Bangsar are just the places you shouldn't miss when you get there. I would love to visit again if my finances would allow me too soon.
I was always keep reading about Cambodja as HCHC, Angkor Wat and S'ville.
I never prepare up front but go with the wind. But now this it makes me curious... I am going there in a few weeks and was wondering if the super travellers, who have been several times to Cambodja, could give us some more cozy places to go to?
Thanks thx thx
