Hey! I want to book the first couple of nights for when i arrive in London in January.

I'm looking for a reasonably clean hostel, in a fairly safe area with friendly people!

Breakfast included would be good..

any recommendations?

Thanks Julie

The Generator Hostel gets a lot of good reviews.

Hey julie.

Well you definately helped a lot with the whole problem of packing, thank you!!! Hopefully starting top get there

Well when we were first starting to think about this whole round the world trip we were living in a flat near kennsington olympia, so one day it had been snowing the night before so there was snow everywhere!!! I decided to leave the flat and go for a wander, somehow I ended up in holland park, and was walking past the hostel there so I thought I pop in and see what it was like, having never been in one before! It was really nice, I think it was £15 a night, but could be wrong!!! But the staff seemed really friendly, and so we're the travllers, even ended up sitting down with a few of them having a drink. I think this was definately one of the deciding moments when I decided that this whole world of travelling needed to be done!!!

Holland parks in itself is really nice (especially if its snowing!!!), plus it's just off high street kennsington. Which has a really good bus route (slighty more so down towards the palace and hyde park) which is only a 10 - 15 minute walk of. From there you can be in central in 15 mins or so depending on traffic! Also theres a tube station!

So it would definately gets my vote this place. Just read through and realised how long this email is so sorry, hopefully you weren't in a rush :-P
