we will be in bangkok this coming december and one to be visited will be the river kwai in kanchanaburi. any travel agency with a reasonable price for a day tour of the bridge over the river kwai, elephant rides and tiger temple? i'm having problem sending reservation to the river kwai tours. please send email address and website of other suggested tour agency in bangkok.
I would not book anything in advance. There is no chance that that all the tours to Kanchanaburi will be fully booked on the day you want to visit. I would arrive in BKK, sort out your accommodation and go chat with the dozens of travel shops on KSR. Get at least 3 quotes before handing over your baht. You will get a better price and more tour options once in BKK. Good luck with your planning.
I used Charlie Connection Travel just off of KSR in Bangkok for my train reservations/tix this year to Chiang Mai - a good agency (low prices):
thankyou sir Daawgon. sent you pm sir vegasmike6.
Check this out before you hand money over to the Tiger Temple - its a sham! and has been severely criticized by both local and International wildlife experts. It's in breach of local and international law and there have been attempts by local authorities to close it down.

The tiger temple is HORRIBLE and I would never encourage anyone to go. It was a sham and the tigers are not being treated well. The monks turned good intentions into a cash cow. Spend your time instead doing the railway, hellfire pass, or some time at one of the areas beautiful waterfalls instead.
Kanchanaburi is close to Bangkok. The attractions in Kanchanaburi are Bridge on the River Kwai, the Death Railway, the JEATH War Museum e.t.c
