It is apropos of nothing, and I can and will just stop reading this thread, but I would be happy for the rest of my life to learn no more trivia about Vegas. I´m sure it´s a fascinating place. But the the minutiae is getting pretty minute when we get to discussing pillowcases.

It is impossible to sneeze with your eyes open.

The yo yo was actually invented as a weapon

The corkscrew was actually invented as a dentist´s tool

The Stardust Hotel opened July 2, 1958. The Lido de Paris opened in the showroom and was the first production show in Vegas. Before the Lido de Paris, all shows were headliners: singers, dancers or comedians.

The supply ship Isabella, laden with beer, accompanied the Niña, the Pinta and the Santa Maria during the first 53 days of Columbus' historic voyage.

Then what, they ran out of beer? Had to find Hispaniola so they could resupply with rum?

I think you could be right there. How big, I wonder, is Las Vegas's carbon footprint?
Probably makes Bigfoot's look like a that of a baby millipede.

Since Bigfoot or Sasquatch is a fictional character, not sure the comparison works. However, since our motto is:
"If it is worth doing, it is worth overdoing!" we can assume the carbon footprint for Las Vegas is HUGE!!

Sasquatch isn't fictional is it? I saw pictures of him (or maybe her) on the front of a brand of Canadian lager

Fact of the day.. A mackerel can lay up to 500,000 eggs at a time.. Ouch !
