I will be visiting Hong Kong in less than 2 weeks time arriving from China. Wanting to stay somewhere close to good transport links for 2 to 3 nights in a double room. Cheaper the better. Can anyone recommend anything to me?

A rough guide to what you consider cheap would be helpful.

Well cheaper the better really. Would like to be paying around £10 per night for a double accommodation doesnt matter about shared facilities just price, ok room and bed and good location/transport links.

Chungking Mansion in Kowloon has plenty of cheap places to stay, but if quality and room size matters then other places would be better. The room sizes are usually very small some are so small that they basically just have a single bed in a closet with a bit of room under the bed for your bag. The area is close to the transport and also close to the main viewing area for the Symphony of the Lights show.

A step up from Chungking Mansions and all its pros and cons i would recommend Dragon Hostel (stayed there 2007). It met all my needs as it has for many others. I have also read good reviews for The Yes Inn. Google both (as well as Chungking Mansions) and go from there. More than likely you would need to book a room at the Dragon in advance. It is popular. Safe travels.
