How long does it take from central Paris to the Beauvais airport and how much does it cost? I'm debating whether it's a good idea to fly from Paris to Venice. It seems that Ryanair is the only airline that does this route. It's super cheap, at 9.99 euro per person but I'm skeptical about the Beauvais airport. Any comment would be appreciated.
I suppose Ryanair has busses on this route; otherwise it's gonna take you 2 hours approx.
My flatmate flew once to Beauvais, and said she wouldn't do it again, because of the long haul to Paris (and in her case also back, as she had a return ticket.)
Usualy there are enough cheap airlines flying to Orly or CDG, to avoid Beauvais, if you have the option it might be better to save on time and the money for the transfer, and pay a bit extra for one of the airlines going to CDG or Orly.
And check if you are flying from Venice, or from Treviso ...

I don't know Beauvais from personal experience, but NOTHING can be worse than flying to/from Treviso. The airport is an absolute nightmare to reach by public transport.
I've flown to Beauvais a few times, there is a bus that runs to Paris which takes about an hour to get to the centre. I think the fare is €13.00, so budget that into the €9.99 fare also.
The airport itself is basic but has all the usual amenities etc.
It really isn't so bad. When you consider the millions of people that use London Gatwick, Stansted and Luton, around 70+ million a year and all 3 airports are a long way from London city centre, which in reality Heathrow is as well, then Beauvais isnt so far from Paris either. Even the quickest trip from LHR takes half an hour.
CDG airport is hardly in the middle of the city either. Its about 20 miles away.
Beauvais buses take just over an hour to get to the centre of Paris. Hardly a disaster and only a little bit longer than the regular train from LGW to London Victoria.
