Does anyone know anything about the penguins in the north of Chile? Where they are? How to get there? What time of year etc?

Cheers

You know the website of the International Penguin Conservation Work Group? According to them, Humboldt penguins bread all across the pacific coast, although severely endangered. WAZA documents colonies in Punihuil and Algarrobo, as well as a number of less accessible places.

I saw them in northern Peru on the way to the Nazca lines in December (it was hot). Apparently their guano fetches quite a bit of money.
