I am planning on going to South America by myself in April 2005 and staying for about three months. Fears of being a solo female had me considering travelling with a tour company, but I abandoned that idea when I realized I could not bear the thought of waking up in the morning knowing exactly where I'll end up at the end of the day!

I'm thinking of starting in Quito, Ecuador and ending up in Rio de Janiero, Brazil. I have no idea what will go on in between, but am interested in finding people to travel with or share advice with. Would definately like to go to Peru, Argentina, and Bolivia. I have a fair amount of travel experience for my age- have lived and traveled in Europe and Mexico. I am "functionally fluent" in Spanish.

Please contact me if you have plans to explore South America during this time!

Hello, I was in Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Ecuador from the end of May to Oct. 2003. I did it solo and had an amazing time - I found it very easy to meet up with people as I went. You made the right decision by doing it on your own and not with a tour group.
Anyway, I plan on being in South America from May to Sept. 2005. My main focus will be on trekking, climbing and skiing in Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina (in that order). If you are interested I am always looking for keen people to join me, but if not, best of luck and have fun.

I'm travelling to South America May-June 2005 starting Peru-Chile-Argentina-Brazil. Looking for people to travel with, particularly as I don't (yet) speak Spanish or Portuguese.

I hear travelling around is not too bad if you are careful, especially if you travel with other people.

Keen as to hike Macchu Pishu and go to Lake Titicaca, but otherwise pretty open in terms of plans.

Email me on -snip- if you want to find out more
