My wife and I spent a week in Buenos Aires, and three days each in Mendoza and Iguazu. Travel was fairly easy, the hotels were nice, and the food and wine wonderful. We strongly suggest that travelors to Argentina contact Maria Isabel (Milla). She's a wonderful hostess with good english skills. She added local knowledge to our trip, and arranged a special dinner for us with live opera singers!
Please remember that Isabel is taking time to help you (she's actually a history teacher at a local high school), and compensate her for her time and efforts.
My wife and I are spending time in BA, Iguaza and Mendoza in February 2005.
Any tips of decent hotels in those places would be greatly appreciated.
Mid-range 3 star is what we will be looking at.
Pardon my ignorance, but who is Maria Isabel and how might I contact her...? I'm spending two weeks in Arg at the end of January, beginning of February...
