What are the "must see" and "must eat" in Macao when I have only 1 day and 1 night there?

I visited Macau as a day trip from HK in 2007. Apart from any number of casinos awaiting your patronage I only found the 'historical walk' around town of interest to me. Good way to soak up the past as well as the present. Sorry, cannot assist re food as I simply ate on the walk. Suggest you google for people who have blogged as you finally find they mention names of places where they had a meal.

Thanks for the suggestion. I too love to see historical things. Is there any route to follow?

the food at fernandos was really good
and there was a noodle shop in the center of the Venetian casino (dead center) that was awesome too

Trip to fernando's is def worth it but u might want to get there early for lunch/dinner as they dont take reservations

Macau tower for a bird's eye view, st paul's cathedral and senado square for a bit of historical sightseeing

Sorry for the late reply. If I remember correctly I downloaded the 'historical walk' from a website. The self-walking tour is signposted therefore I would assume there a local places where you can obtain a copy. If your coming from the boat from Hong Kong (as I did) I recommend you take whatever transport is available from the dock. I walked and it was a hellava walk in the heat.
