Quoting Budges

Thats why I like this subject: all those "Oh yeah, I remember now..." moments.

Like Animaniacs - totally forgot about it!!

Let's not forget Dick Dastardly and his mean laughing dog Muttley

Is that the one where they were in car races every episode...I just remember the dog Muttley and his wheezy laugh (I think anyway...?)

Loved Animaniacs - Wakko, Yakko, and Dot - and especially Pinky and the Brain!!!!!

Yup - they were The Wacky Races, and they had a huge cast of characters: Dick Dastardly and Muttley, The Slag Brothers, The Gruesome Twosome, Professor Pat Pending, Red Max, Penelope Pitstop, Sgt. Blast and Private Meekly, The Ant Hill Mob, Lazy Luke and Blubber Bear, Peter Perfect, Rufus Roughcut and Sawtooth, and of course....the Commentator.

Wow, does that bring back some memories. I think Penelope Pitstop and Peter Perfect went on to a career in porn......

Here's a link for the toon: Wacky Races

Beyond those two, hmmmm.....have to go with Rocky and Bullwinkle (I still love them and all their side toons like Fractured Fairy Tales, Sherman and Mr. Peabody, etc.) and Jonny Quest - gotta love the "relationship" between single men Race Bannon and Dr. Quest, particularly for the 1960s.

In all the rush I forgot number one: The Swedish Chef of the Muppets

Is there anyone that doesn't like Pinky and the Brain/ Animaniacs!

I'm going to out myself as a nerd here with some, but I used to love:-
Histeria
Cyberchase
Mummies Alive
Scooby Doo
Super Ted :D
Raggy Dolls.

And there was a random entertaining Aussie/Kiwi cartoon... I think it was called Tracey McBean. Fun after school entertainment!

Of course...raggy dolls!!

Rin Tin Tin (Rinny is buried in a pet cemetery in France.)

I dont know what Rin Tin Tin is...but it reminded me of another awesome cartoon: Tin Tin!

And another one I totally forgot to mention is He-Man. I cant remember the cartoon much but I remember racing out in my he-man undies to watch it. And still have the Castle Grey Skull playset.

I used to watch Tracey McBean for a bit too...where she invents stuff to overcome whatever problem they need to solve (i think).

I really thought the Animaniacs would revive the Warner Brothers cartoon business. Too bad it didn't happen. They had one of the great themes of all time too. It references both Pay or Play contracts, and having Baloney in their Slacks, which is pretty impressive.

Never heard of SuperTed. Was he a pirate that would turn into a superhero if he pulled his belt really tight?

An ordinary teddybear who was thrown away because he had something wrong with him, who was then granted super powers lol. *checks youtube.*

There's the intro - it explains the whole premise really. He goes around fighting crime with Spotty his alien friend! It's a little kids one really, but good! Oh, and thank you related videos link on youtube, I forgot about Funny Bones!

Rin Tin Tin was a German shepherd (dog) who was the companion of a young orphan boy taken in by the US Cavalry. The series I remember ran on TV from 1995-1959 and starred the original Rin Tin Tin's offspring (Rin Tin Tin IV).

It's very interesting to look at all the different favourites here in a way that, within reason, it's almost possible to guess people's ages. My personal favourite?.. Deputy Dawg.

Let's make that 1955 - 1959. I don't really live in a time-warped reverse universe. Then again, that would mean I'm getting younger by the minute. No!!!!!!!!!!!!
