If money grew on trees, where would you want to be in the world? Who would you take with you? What would you take with you? What would be the first thing you would attempt, upon arrival?

I'd probably explore N America in one of these

Then cruise around the great lakes for a while in one of these

That should take care of one lifetime..
With wife of course..

If money grew on trees, where would you want to be in the world? Sat on a beach somewhere in New Zealand watching the Southern Lights.
Who would you take with you? Nobody. What would you take with you? A fine bottle or 2 of NZ Pinot Noir and a bbq with some fine NZ lamb steaks. What would be the first thing you would attempt, upon arrival? To take over the top floor of Christchurch's best hotel and invite good people to a party they would remember forever as the best they've ever done.

Where: somewhere in the Arabic-speaking Middle East, preferably enrolled at a local university and studying Arabic
Who: nobody, but everybody of my friends and family would be welcome to visit me at my flat
What would I do on arrival: make friends among the local women and girls
What would you take with you? A decent long-distance touring bicycle. I love to cycle, but it is difficult to find good bikes in the Middle East. The concept of a bicycle as a way of transport is practically unknown in this part of the world.

For me it would have to be a small Croatian island. Stone house overlooking the sea to the west. The house would have maybe one or two external appartments for my friends to come visit, and a studio where I could write and work on my art overlooking the sea... My best-friend who is also my girlfriend would be with me and my daughter.

...and then I would start writing my next novel.

Mine would be similar to zaksame's- an island somewhere (it's almost irrelevant where, but far!) where I could write, and it would have a cocktail bar by the beach. I'd take my boyfriend and possibly a few friends, although they might distract me too much from the writing process!

Well, of course I would visit the more remote expensive places on this planet. Just some examples:

  • Icebreaker to the Northpole
  • Trip to the southern Indian Ocean islands, like Kerguelen and Amsterdam (no, the island)
  • baffin and ellismere islands in northern Canada
  • Heard and MacDonald islands
  • Tokelau and Tuvalu

And probably dozens of more trips.
Hey, I just found a euro in my back garden;)

Oooh Oooh Oooh! I almost forgot the most important thing, thanks Ofelia...

If money grew on trees, where would you want to be in the world?
I would also be on an island, probably around the med
Who would you take with you? My boyfriend Glen. Friends and family can come and visit at any time.
What would you take with you? Photos from my trips around the world for decoration purposes.
What would be the first thing you would attempt, upon arrival? Make friends with the locals and open up a cafe/bar with an attached small hostel and a nice garden with fresh veggies. Glen is an excellent cook and I'd socialize with our guests ;).
