I see that I can a photo by clicking the IMG button, however, how do I know where in the blog entry this photo will show up and how can I add multiple photos to an entry? Thanks jonshapiro

After you've selected a photo, from the dialog which comes up upon clicking the Img button, a bit of code will be added to the blog entry which you're writing (at the location of your cursor at the point that you clicked the button) looking like [img=http://photos.travellerspoint.com/blablabla.jpg]. That's the placeholder for the photo. You can move that around if you like, and if you want to add a second photo, you can just click the Img button again and in that way add a second photo.

By the way, there should be some changes coming to this in the next days. But how the code shows in the entry will still be the same (ie. as Sander describes). It will be easier to insert multiple photos though.

Ok, Thank you. I managed to get photos into blog, but is there a way to preview by being able to see what the photos look like with blog before publishing? Sometimes the print is arranged around the photos in funky ways, but this is impossible to see without a preview. Finally the bulk photo down loader is not working for me and even though I reduced the size of photos through picasa it still takes quite a while to download. Any suggestions? Jon

Not quite the same as on the blog (as those can have lots of different styling, depending on which theme you've chosen), but if you press the "preview" button at the bottom of the page, you do get a rough preview. (Although I see that at present, this is suffering from a bug and giving an error if you submit it. (I'll report this so it gets fixed swiftly.) You can work around that bug by unchecking "save draft while typing" immediately below the textarea and then pressing the preview button.)

Sometimes the print is arranged around the photos in funky ways, but this is impossible to see without a preview.

This also depends completely on the size of the browser used by people. The only way to get images reliably aligned is to give a hard line break (enter) right before the image, so that the [img=blabla] appears on its own line.

Finally the bulk photo down loader is not working for me and even though I reduced the size of photos through picasa it still takes quite a while to download. Any suggestions? Jon

I don't really know much about the bulk photo uploader. It uses java, and as long as you have java enabled in your browser, it should just work. Can you describe in what way it's not working for you? (e.g. do you not see any uploader at all on the page, or does it give you an error message, or does it fail to upload after selecting the photos, or...?)
Also, what size are you reducing the photos to in picasa? Travellerspoint doesn't display photos in larger size than 800px maximum on the longest side, and so you can reduce photos all the way to that dimension, after which they shouldn't be more than 100-200 kilobyte each, which should upload swiftly even on slow connections.

:)Thanks again. You guys are great with such prompt replies. That is certainly one of the main reasons I like using this site. Interestingly, I did click on preview and didn't see photos the first time, but now it seems to be working just fine and I see how to position them correctly. Same thing with bulk up loader. It didn't work before, but seems to be working ok now. One final question(at least for now), if someone is reading my blog and they want to look at photos in gallery, but not in the blog, what is the easiest way to do this, ie can they go directly from blog to gallery. jon
