After match review of the experience:

Firstly i really didnt know what to expect from this day and after being taken to the Monumental stadium of from San Telmo around 1pm it all went rather well. We parked a few blocks from the stadium and despite reports of lots of police and security checks which i thought would cause mass delays really werent existent, we just had to show our tickets across four or five checkpoints and then into the stadium )...which really was spectacular and havent been to Boca's a few days earlier it seemed at least five bigger. The crowd were electric, fire crackers, singing and shouting with all the passion and enthusiasm that i hoped would be there. The first half of the game was spellbinding and apart from a few Boca chances, River did a lot of pressing and dominated, missing a penalty and then scoring with a great free kick which is when the crowd went crazy, im so pleased i got to be there in such a competitive and enthralling game. Boca came back in the second half amongst the craziness of two red cards and then an equalizing goal. The second half was far more tense and there was some hostility towards the boca fan's when the equalizer went in, seats thrown afterwards and a few choice words, which is why they keep all the river supporters behind for an hour afterwards to let the boca fans disappear.

All in all, if i just came here for this game it would have been more than worth it and i'd recommend everyone to see it when they are in BA, most of us "tourists" were all in one section of the ground with the River supporters and everyone came out saying how great it was to be involved, and most i spoke to got a similar prices of about £80-£100. That should give some idea for anyone going in future.

so glad you enjoyed the game. Sounds typical of the derby match.

I missed a 3-2 with 2 pens and 4 sendings off as a bus was late once. That hurt a lot beleive me. Was a pre season friendly too lol.
