As an actress you should for sure know where the most jobs in your field are.

AFAIK the city in the UK with the most theatres is London and I guess that is also the place where most film productions are.

Other places that could be interesting are Dublin, maybe Edinburgh or Manchester. The regulars who actually live in the UK might be able to help you out better.

Aside from the above I can also suggest that you look at workshops. There are some international workshops held for young actors all over Europe, usually during the summer. Workshops can be a great and inexpensive way to meet new people from all over Europe and improve your acting skills.

One big event for everybody in the film industry that is coming up is the Berlinale Talent Campus, http://www.berlinale-talentcampus.de/. It is held in Berlin in Feb for a week, I strongly suggest you send of your application for it now. The Berlinale Talent Campus usually hosts the best and the brightest young talents from all over Europe and some further apart, the value of it is in making important connections with other young talents and established people in the film industry.

Check on some recent stars in the business in wikipedia and see how they started off. Some started in local Rep, some trained at RADA, others did what they could till their big break came, including doing any job available in a theatre company.

Ahh... but it depends on how much you want it. How big's your ambition? If it's big, then you have to make the move. Good luck. ;)
