HI , ARIANNA HERE
I HAVE BEEN TRAVELLING SINCE I WAS BORN .
LIVED ALL AROUND AND IN 27 YEARS NEXT WEEK I DID'T STOP YET , SO IF ANYBODY IS INTERESTED IN EXCHANGING TRAVEL EXPERIENCES I'M VERY CURIOUS TO LEARN WHERE OTHER'S HAVE BEEN AND I STILL HAVE TO GO OR TELL MY IMPRESSIONS ON MY LONG TRAVEL EXPERIENCE ...
Have you ever been in Crete (Greece) ?
I've been to Germany- lived and studied there in English for 6 months. While I was there I went to Spain and the Netherlands over my Christmas vacation. I also travelled out to other parts of Germany on weekends.
I've lived in Canada for most of my life. I have travelled quite a bit around the 2 westernmost provices- Alberta and British Columbia. I've also been to Washington, California, Montana, and Yellowstone National Park in the United States (America).
Have you been to any of those places?
Where all have you been?
Welcome to the forum, by the way!
well I've been to California (last November) , to Germany ,and lived in Spain one year ... tell me what elase did you see ?
Hi Arianna and welcome!
I checked out your profile and travel log; nice work there notching up those countries! There used to be a nice thread on how many countries people had travelled to.... very impressive in some cases. Did a search for it and here it is in case you want to share
Look forward to seeing you around!
In Germany I travelled a bit around the country, mostly the southern sections. The only really big city I went to was Munich. I passed through other big cities, but that doesn't really count. I stayed with families in some towns/small cities- got the cultural experience and really enjoyed it! I was in Munich for 3 days- the first time I really travelled alone and it was a really positive experience, so I will deffinately do it again sometime!
In Canada, which is where I live (Calgary), I have been to just about every mountain park hiking and camping. I've gone white water rafting there, a little fishing, some kayaking, canoeing, and so on. I've gone x-country skiing a few times, too, but have never hit the slopes. I lived and worked at a mountain lodge called Emerald Lake Lodge which is about 20 mins west of Lake Louise. I was there for about 2 months over the summer. I've been the the Okanogan several times and to Vancouver, Edmonton and Kelowna several times. I've also been to Prince George, Golden, Whistler, Lake Louise, Banff, Drumheller, Edmonton, Winnepeg, Vancouver Island, the sunshine coast and so on in Canada.
In the States I've been to Tacoma and Seattle in WA. In Cali I was 9 and so it was a family vacation so we did all the attractions: Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Sea World, Long Beach, Universal Studios, and, a little off the beaten track- Joshua Tree National Park (that was only an afternoon).
So that is where I have been! Not too many places, but hopefully the list will grow a little in the time to come . .. .
I forgot to add Spain- I went to Barcelona for a few days, saw lots of stuff- as much as we could pack in, and spent a whole day shopping as well! We saw the place where the Olympics were held and some of Guadi's archetecture and went to an aquarium. Then we went down to the south of Spain and rented a suite in an off-season resort for a week in this town called Cullera- we basically decided upon that by putting a finger on a map, though. It was really relaxing- we just chilled on the beach, went shopping in the town, watched some cable tv in spanish (we hadn't watched tv for 3 months) . .. Then we went back up to Barcelona for a day to meet up with some friends and from there we split up and went to Amsterdam. Spent New Years in Amsterdam and then back into Germany for the next semester of school!
