Hello

Coming to Munich soon.

What is the best place (low prices and good quality) for some shopping?
Interested in some clothes and shoes, sport/casual.
Some examples will be very helpful

Thanks.

Hey,

Though I'm not an expert on Munich, I've heard that Marienplatz has good shopping. And, in fact, I have gone shopping along it and can vouch for it. H&M, and stores like that. (I'm not sure how old you are) It's pretty easy to get there, as it is located near the hauptbahnhof, or central train station. Just google a map of it. It's not too difficult to find.

Good luck.

Steph

Munich is the most expensive city in Germany, low prices and Munich do not mix. That said try your luck around the Marienplatz and the surrounding pedestrian zones.

For clothes shopping in Germany? Berlin, hands down. Especially if you have a little more cash and want some cool one-of-a-kind stuff from a small boutique. The stuff the Hollywood stars come after if you get my drift.

The main shopping areas are Neuhauserstrasse and Kaufingerstrasse, both lined with large department stores and international chains. Smaller, more exclusive boutiques can be found around Maximilianstrasse and Theatinerstrasse.
