Hi there,

My friend Kate and I are currently in Australia enjoying our last few weeks before we head to our next destination.

We will be arriving in LA on November 18th 2009 and are wanting to rent a car to go across country. We leave USA on January 6th and we want as much freedom with our travelling as we can.

We will be cruising the west coast for just over a week and then heading over to Las Vegas. From there we are basically going to be sticking to the southern states until after we hit Florida we will be heading up to Chicago through Memphis. Then onto New York.

We are two 24 year old english girls who are 3 months into their travels. We are really easy going and enjoy ALL aspects of travelling. We like to have the occasional drink but we don't do like to do it every day. We are pretty laid back and we just want to have a hell of a good time and do America the way your supposed to!

We would love for someone who can speak english or from the UK themselves and also someone who can drive as Becky is lame and doesn't have a driving license so at the moment all the driving is on Kate hehe!

Whose up for it? We will have loads of fun. Let's do it our way!!!

Hope to hear from you

Kate and Becky

If you ladies decide to drive into Florida and make your way down to Miami, I'll be happy to show you around town. It's a totally different experience than the rest of the US. And the food here is AMAZING. :)

Happy trails ladies... and be safe!

Kinda tempted to say yes to this, need to get off this island again. I'm from the UK and I didn't do the west coast and I really really really want to go back to NYC. I did the solo traveling round the USA via car and plane but ran out of time.

Although I would consider trains next time I am over there - since one of you can't drive it might be an option for you. Check out Amtrak's site as they have some tourist options that seem very reasonable and attractive.

If some1 buys this house I'm selling within the next month I would probably say yes. But good luck.
