Me and my wife spent an amazing week in Bangkok and Phuket. Middle aged Indian that we are there was no Agenda on sex, drugs or else.
We found BKK extremely clean , inspite of endless line up of non veg street food. Vegan is a word non existant in Thai vocabulary. Only place to have veg food are Indian Resturants.
The fruits pine apple, Mango, guava, Grape fruit were so sweetest ,juiciest I ever had.
The tuk tuk drivers are most unscruplous and best avoided. Cabs are inexpensive and hassle free.
Visa on arrival is a great advantage.
Phuket is a great pace to unwind.Sun sea and Sand, in urban setting. Wow
Actually, there are plenty of Thai vegetarian choices. Look for stalls and shops displaying "jay" flags, little yellow pennants with red lettering. Almost every food court will have at least one vegetarian stall.
There is a great vegan restaurant right off koh san road. The had all sorts of different types of ethnic foods and even vegan desserts. Cant remember the name but people were handing out flyers for it all the time.
Maybe you should consider to visit Iisan region for your next visit and you will be surprise with the locals which are friendly!!
hey.. you have many interesting place to visit in Thailand... its really good place to spend time with family...
Curt 1591 , sorry I didn't quite follow jay flags with red letters.
Since english language is not their forte , vegetarian sometimes means seafood, even pork.
For Indians vegetarian means no eggs ,meat, pork, chicken or fish.
However ,I 'll like to go back to Thailand any day .
