Greetings All,

I've recently joined as I am planning a trip to Hong Kong, Taiwan and possibly the Philippines. Having never travelled to that part of the world I will certainly be mining this site for wonderful and insightful travel information nuggets. For example, all those incredibly inexpensive, honest, wonderful and magical tourist free locations that you all secretly discuss here. Or a decent place to drink beer is fine.

I have travelled around Western Europe (lived in Amsterdam), much of Canada and the US and small portions of Mexico. Not nearly as much as my younger brother, whom you may know as Piecar. I live in Vancouver, so can provide a lot of information about the City and Province. Sorry, you can’t stay at my place during the Olympics, the couch is spoken for.

I apologize in advance for any inane or repetitive questions. I will read through the forums pertaining to my upcoming destinations. Thanks and hope to hear or possibly see you out there.

Cheers.

NIce to meet you(he said, jokingly). Welcome to the group. Bro, There are alot of answers here. You'll get what you need. There are lots of experienced folk here.

For the regulars...My bro is more conservative than me, but far more intelligent....and, sadly, suaver with the ladies. He's worth talking to...with the exception of adventurous stuff, where he will do a study first.

Sorry, bro. But welcome aboard and glad to have you.

D

Welcome to TP Marcel!!!!!

Nothing like a bit of nepotism in the ranks.....you gotta love it

If you're as insanely creative as your brother, you will find everything you need to know about travel right here........except in Off Topic, where you will find insanely creative travelers!!!!!

Welcome again, and I look forward to more news about your occupied couch.....

Quoting Piecar

Well, I was going to ask if your past was as checkered as your brother's, Marcel - but Derek seems to have answered that before I had the chance. Is this one of those sibling relationships where D gets into all the trouble and you get to write the book about it?

Welcome to TP and enjoy the adventure!!!!! ;)

ps: Do you drink beer or martinis? I had to ply D with both so he'd forget I'm just a crotchy ol' moderator.

Thanks Isadora & Beerman

I sure hope that Piecar has pull around here. Yes, the checkered past belongs entirely to D. My creativity enables me to stay out of dicey situations whereas he does the complete opposite. Common sense is considered a study to him.

Isadora, I prefer beer and welcome the chance be plied with delicious pints.

Stay tuned for couch updates….

Cheers
