Travel Forums North America Mexican weather for summer travel?

JohnF has indicated that this thread is about Mexico

We are planning to travel from USA through Mexico and onto Central America (Costa Rica etc) from May through July. Is the tropical weather at this time a problem for independant travel?

Generally, there is no rain during the summer months in the western part of the US (it's mostly desert except in the NW), but it rains a lot in the eastern and southern parts of the US during the summer.

Also, after May it does rain an awful lot the farther south you go down into Mexico and Central America, primarily during the afternoons. For the best description on this, go to the following website: http://costaricahomepages.com/a547522127c9acd5d9d2a995c009ec2c/info/weather
which describes the pattern farther down the peninsula in detail.

Enjoy.

You know, if you reversed your trip (started in Costa Rica and travelled north to the US) you'd probably be bothered by a lot less rain.

Enjoy.
