Hi everyone,

I’m going to Boston for Christmas, shortly followed by New York for New Year and wanted to plan a trip from New York to eventually end up in Charlotte – North Carolina or thereabouts.

Can anyone recommend good places to visit on the way? Washington DC will be on the list! I’ve got 2 weeks to make it down to North Carolina and want to see a bit on the way!

If you will already be in the NY area, spending a day or two at Niagra Falls would be nice. I hear it is pretty in the winter (I've only visited in the summer myself).
Stopping by Philadelphia would be nice to visit. It is big, but can be a fun city to visit (especially if you like history). There are some good outlet malls in PA too.
Richmond, Virginia is also on the way and has some historical sites to see.

Too bad you are going in the winter, or else it would be a great way to see/swim in many of the different beaches along the Atlantic coast.

Hope this helps!

Most of the tourist stuff is closed in the winter so i'd stick to NY and Boston, Washington,Baltimore ,Philladelphia, and Montreal;),as for Charlotte Whats happening there? sure you didnt mean Charleston?

D.C. Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. It's awesome, and it's free.
