Quoting BeckyR

... with ... a glass of something. Maybe Lake Tahoe.

Really...?? I could think of better things to have in my glass on Christman day... Like some fine Cognac...

But, mine would be...

a) Lapland, of course, with a glass of fine Cognac... I mean, isn't that where the man himself is from..?

b) Engaged wherever the mood takes me, married in a hot-air balloon and I hope, once I marry, to never get divorced... I certainly don't wanna plan it...

c) I'm not having any more birthday's, I'm old enough...

d) Trafalgar Square maybe, only not as drunk as I was at Trafalgar Square to see in the New Millenium...

a) At home, cause I can't imagine a non-white Christmas and we have plenty of the white stuff!

b)engaged... somewhere tropical like Belize but basically spontaneity is the important part so it could be anywhere really. I would love to get married in New Orleans for sure! and gotta agree with Airfix, I hope to not get divorced and won't be planning that one!

c)I would love to wake up in Costa Rica on my birthday with the sun bursting through my window. Or somewhere that would offer an amazing view, be it urban or countryside. And you are NEVER too old to celebrate your birthday!

d)New York City would be cool but too crowded so maybe Sydney (from what I've heard )

a) Chistmas Day? Maybe Sweden or Norway.
b) Married? in a park on Sydney Harbour. Did this 8 years ago this January
c) Wake up on my birthday? on the Dimitri Beach in Kos, Greece, with a mild hangover that soon disappeared
d) See the New Year in? Rio De Janeiro!!!

Christmas: Back home in Derry.

Engaged/Married/Divorced: Vegas, all within 24 hours.

Birthday: New York City.

New Year: Beach Party with a small fire, small group of mates, lots of alcohol and a couple of guitars.

a) be on Christmas day?

Somewhere snowy in Europe. So it'll be like home, but different.

b) get married, divorced, engaged etc etc?!

Engaged? I'd leave that one a surprise.
Married? Hmm, some old, old cathedral in Europe. Something small.
Divorced? I'd go with Airfix and Tam, and make no plans for it.

c) wake up on your Birthday?

Anywhere in the middle of a year-long tour of Europe. Let's say, um, Venice! I feel a European theme here...

d) see the New Year in?

I did Auckland, and it was funny to be the first to see the New Year in. I like things that last, so, wherever is the last place to see the year change...

I want to change one of my answers! I'd like to get married in a courtyard. Doesn't matter where, just a courtyard.

Here's a cool thing to do for new year- hang around next to the international dateline in the South Pacific Islands. Celebrate it first in Tonga, then when your hangover has worn off you can get on a plane to Samoa and do it again 24 hours later.

I still have trouble getting my head rond this.

You could do the same and have your birthday twice.

a) be on Christmas day?

A ski-in, ski-out cabin in the rocky mountains with a roaring fire, turkey in the oven and surrounded by good friends.

b) get married, divorced, engaged etc etc?!

engaged: on the beach with the sun setting
married: St. Peters Biscillia in Rome. Probably be hard given that I'm not a catholic.
divorced: Isn't this the kind of thing that you have to do in a courtroom?

c) wake up on your Birthday?

The South Pole.

d) see the New Year in?

Sipping champagne on the Concorde, jetting around the world and celebrating the new year in 24 different timezones.
