Travel Forums Europe Why would you go here?

Hi there...
I'm trying to decide where to go on holiday next year, it will be me and my fiance for a week (or possibly two depending on price)
I'd like to go to Paris, Bruge, Barcelona... somewhere like that in Europe.
I'd like your advice on where a couple of 20 somethings might enjoy themselves, what was the best trip you ever took and why did you enjoy it there? Tell me why you went there in the first place and did it meet up with your expectations?

Convince me, I dont want to end up bumming about in Amsterdam like usual! :)

Thank you.

If you want a very nice spot to trip, why don't you try my country? Portugal. Beautiful spots, very kind people, very nice food, very good hostel's here, mostly in Lisbon.
Well, I'm just selling my product, that's true, but besides that I think Portugal is a very awsome place to explore.

Greetings!;)

I would suggest Prague.

An amazing city and loads to see in the day. The Charles Bridge, Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square can all be a little touristy, but are all must see places.

There are loads of bars and restaurants. I would recommend a restaurant called Reykjavik near Old Town Square, very good seafood.

Depending when you're are going, make sure if its over the next 6 months to wrap-up warm!!

I'd go with Pedrojorge and visit Portugal. Not so expensive, great food and drink, wonderful nightlife in Lisbon and around, and the fact that it has a huge coastline leaves scope for lots of exploring.

If you're looking for a romantic place where you can spend about ten day including trips in the area, I would suggest something like Budapest. A beautiful with a lot to see, but also a great numbaer of possibilities for trips in the region. Although hotels might be a little expensive, if you wait for a good bargain on booking.com or other sites it should be less expensive than Paris, Bruge or Barcelona.

All 3 places you mention are nice for a break. To do something a little different out the choice you've put up, Barcelona is a wonderful location with trains and buses to take you all over Spain and away from the pictures you endlessly see in the brochures. Spain is a truly magical country and if you get to Barcelona, you're only a short distance from Andorra as well. Another beautiful region.
