Hi i am new to this but hopefully will become a pro! Myself and my partner are both in our late 20's and are contemplating a holiday to Croatia next year. We saw Contiki Travel doing a tour of island hopping but they have pulled this tour. We don't mind staying on land once we get to go out on the boat and swim from the boat and enjoy a tan on the deck. Can anybody recommend how to do this or an agent that books it and of course be reasonably priced?
Thanks for your time!
The very best way to do island hopping in Croatia, is to go to Dubrovnik harbour. From there you can pick up 1/2 day, full day, 2 days, 3 days trips for a fraction of what the mags charge. Honestly they are so cheap. Just find accommodation when you disembark at the island(s) of your choice. Even in high season there will be vacancies. Getting to Dubrovbnik is easy by any mode of transport and cheap rooms there are always for the taking.
The cost of your island hopping will bring a smile to your face, rather than a frown at the cost the mags are wanting to sting you for the trip(s).
Thanks a million for that reply it's been really helpful. We ahve now decided to just fly to Dubrovnik and get the ferry from island to island and then get a ferry from Croatia to Italy and get a train from ancona italy to siena for a wedding....not stressful at all!
