Hi,
Im off to Oz in December, I have a WHV, are there any restrictions as to how long i can work out of the year? i know i can only work for the same employer for 6 months but can i then work for somebody else for another 6 months?

Also, if i do my 3 month harvest work and qualify for my second year, can i take that second year another time. i.e, go home save up again then go back for another year?

Thanks for any help, Wayne

Yes. (Do note that the visa requirements are that your primary purpose for visiting Australia is holiday, not work. If you really intend to work for a full year, getting a regular work visa might be more appropriate. But as far as I know, there's no way they enforce this, nor does the working holiday visa disallow working for the full year (as long as the maximum six months per single employer rule is obeyed), so this shouldn't be a problem.)

Yes. As long as you've done the 3 months of work in regional Australia, you can apply for the second WHV at any time before your 31st birthday.

On the 2nd visa you can also work for an employer you worked for on the 1st visa! (the time worked for an employer doesn't carry over to the 2nd visa) This means if you apply for the 2nd visa whilst in Australia on your 1st WHV, and time it right you could work straight through for 12 months for one employer.
