Dan190984 has indicated that this thread is about Italy

I have just booked 5 nights in Rome in January. While I am there I want to take in the AS Roma v Genoa game.

Can anyone tell me is this safe for an English football fan and if so how do I go about getting tickets.

I have seen lots of sites online selling tickets at rip off prices and also mention of shops in Rome to buy them.

Where is the safest place in the ground to sit and how much should I expect to pay?

Roma vs Genoa is going to be a safe match and also quite good.
Really i haven't a lot of info on where to buy ticket in Rome, but in Milan (for Inter and Milan), you can buy them in bank ( i don't which bank for Rome). Check on Roma site, you find where to buy a ticket.

Buying tickets online for Serie A football is a nightmare. The squads don't have a coordinated channel for this, so you're forced to deal with commercial agents such as WorldTicketShop. As you can see, they don't sell tickets cheaply.

If you have friends in Italy, ask them to buy tickets in person at a ricevitoria. The AS Roma website should give a list of ticket agents throughout Italy.
