Gt. Ocean Rd. vs. Grand Pacific Drive?

Hi,

We are in the process of planning our trip to Australia and could either drive Melbourne to Adelaide via the gt. ocean rd. or the other option is to drive from Melbourne to Sydney on the Pacific route.

There seems to be a lot written about the the first option but can't seem to find so much about the Pacific route, we would need some accommodation along the way, so we would need to book in advance for February time. Which would be the nicest route?

Any help or information would be a great help.

If time permitted you could possibly look at both options. The Great Ocean Road is the better of the twon in my opinion others may disagree, but the hoards of tourists won't.
