Hi everyone..
My name is Nadine, I'm a Canadian living in Ecuador. (on the beach!) Where I've learned how to surf, speak Spanish, and more about myself than I ever thought possible. Not to mention all the very interesting people I've met, or the beautiful landscape/environment Ecuador has to offer, but the cultural immersion experience has been incredible. I came to Ecuador to stay for just 2 months, volunteering and traveling throughout the country, when I fell in love.. and decided to stay! (2 years ago)
I'm joining this group so that I can share my knowledge about the language, culture, nature and everything else Ecuador has to offer.
I've had such an enjoyable and eye opening experience in my time volunteering here in Ecuador, that I decided to help make it possible for others to share in the same experiences. Along with my partner, we offer Volunteer & Surf programs here in a little beach town called "Canoa", Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands.
These surf trips are the perfect way to see first hand the cultural differences and similarities of a third world country. To participate and volunteer in the local kindergarten school teaching English, or helping with the construction/painting of the school, and to catch some waves on the Ecuadorian coast while you learn how to surf!
