I'm planning on my first trip away from home (yikes!), i'm going to brisbane for the 4th of January next year (2010) where i'll be for 4 months before heading of to wonderful New Zealand.
If anyones going out around that time would be awesome too meet up... or share what you plan on doing aswel?
My plan is just really after getting their... get a job asap, work throughout the 4 months whilst on days off enjoying the scenery / stuff to do etc..
i'm 20/m/uk aswel if this makes a difference
When will you be in New Zealand, I fly out to Oz on 5th Feb and stayin there for four months, then onto New Zealand for a month, and then Thailand how long ru planning on staying in New Zealand?
I'm in New Zealand (Aukeland) from 30th of April up until the 31st of July.
Ah, Thailand, i thought about going their but will have to wait until the next trip i take i think,
Where about in New Zealand were you planning on going?
I will be in Oz in Jan til June. I will probably travel for a month, and then find somewhere to settle to get some work, as I have my working visa.
Im planning on travelling the East Coast. Would love to get some surfing going and Im pretty adventurous, so anything a bit exciting. What sort of plans do you have?
Where abouts you from? You doing it alone?
Awesome, where about in Oz are u starting off?
Well, although that idea sounds great im really going on this long holiday with "just" enough money so travelling about would be hard for me
Ahh, sounds great, been adventurous on holliday means u get the best out of it!
my plans were really just to go to brisbane, swap between a few hostels throughout the 4 months whilst working so my money stays at the same or gets higher (so i can do more adventure stuff)
I'm from Scotland (Inverness), so away over the otherside of the world, and i'm doing it all on my own, just hoping either too meet up with people doing the same (so like tag along and see places etc...) or meet people once i get their now.. but very exciting, how about you?
Well Im hoping to start in sydney. do the whole east coast and then decide upon where i want to settle. how come you chose brisbane?
it is indeed very exciting, and also really nice to hear that so many other people are travelling alone too. makes it much less daunting!
do you have facebook? if so add me. my name is shreya patel and im on the london and brunel network.
Hi Kev, I am currently living in Brisbane, here for another month or so, probably until mid Feb, send me a message if you would like to meet up - I don't know many people here yet! I am from the UK, 25 year old female.
Happy New Year!
