mapping photos (they don't show up)

Hello there,

I need help.

I have uploaded over 100 photos and they show up on the website. However when I try to "map" my photos, this is the message I get:

No photos found.
Before you can assign photos to the map, you have to upload them to Travellerspoint.
If you have done this, and they're still not showing up, make certain that you have ticked the "photograph" checkbox for them.

What does it mean to tick the photograph checkbox? Where? How?

Is this a problem others have experienced? I tried both Safari and Firefox and the photos are not recognized by the map function on either browser.

When you upload photos there's an option to "Show in Gallery". With that unticked, the photos don't show in your public gallery, and as the maps are public there's no point in mapping them either. So you'd need to have that checkbox ticked to then be able to map the photos. You can actually map them without the checkbox ticked using the method I describe below (it can't be done in the mapping tool, but in the photography area), but as they won't show anywhere, this doesn't seem to really have much point?

The quickest way to go about this would be to tick the checkbox right at the top of the my photos page. That will then select all the photos, after which you click on the Edit button. On the editing page you'll then be able to set the photos to show in your gallery, as well as actually just enter their location right there in the Location field provided. If you type 'Sydney' for example, it will bring up the different ones around the world.
